2026 Hoʻolauleʻa

One weekend, lasting impact

Highlights from our 2026 Impact Report.

Safety first

Every racer carried a GPS tracker, backed by professional water-safety crews and rescue boats.

Entry fees at work

Adult entry fees helped cover medals, shirts, hats and food for every youth participant — at no added cost to families.

Shoreline care

149 people joined the beach cleanup, including 100 Summer PALS youth.

Cultural continuity

Guided by Cultural Advisor Opuʻulani Wallace Albino, recognized as the last Manaleo — native speaker — of Molokaʻi.

$623,118 for Maui County

Visitor spending tied to the 2026 event — and $1.40 million in economic activity across Hawaiʻi.

Back to the community

79 vendors paid — all but two Hawaiʻi-based — with proceeds seeding a new scholarship fund for Molokaʻi High School seniors.
