Youth in Motion
Aloha and Welcome!
We are Youth in Motion, also known as Na Kama ‘Onipa’a, a name gifted to us by a respected kupuna (elder) on our island. Our heart is dedicated entirely to supporting the youth of Molokai through active programs and community-driven fundraising.
Our Mission & Fundraising Our goal is to empower our youth by keeping them active and supporting the organizations that help them thrive. We are currently seeking financial support and sponsorship for our flagship event, the Molokai Holokai Ho’olaule’a.
This event is more than just a celebration of ocean sports; it is the primary engine we use to raise funds for scholarships and youth programs across the island.
Current Programs & Initiatives:
– Molokai Holokai Ho’olaule’a: Our main community event and fundraiser.
– Ocean & Fitness: Muay Thai Boxing and Body Boarding.
Your Support Makes an Impact Through the success of the Molokai Holokai Ho’olaule’a—and the generosity of our donors—we have been able to provide financial support to:
– Maui Sports Foundation (supporting youth affected by the Lahaina Fire)
– Special Olympics Molokai
– Molokai High School Athletics & Clubs
– Molokai Middle School
– Sustainable Molokai
– Young Life Molokai
We are always looking for partners to help us continue this work. If you would like to support the Molokai Holokai Ho’olaule’a, please contact us or use the donate button below.
We are youth in motion
Youth in Motion is a 501c-3-tax exempt, non-profit organization established on the island of Molokai, to assist youth on Molokai.
Youth in Motion was established in 1997 with emphasis being placed on after-school and intersession with windsurfing & kayaking instructions. Youth in Motion’s Ocean and Sailing program was attempted a few years back, but with a key volunteer departing Molokai, the program was put on hold.
Founder Clare Seeger Albino has been dedicated to serving Molokai’s youth since 1999. As a full-time teacher, Clare combines her passion for education with hands-on leadership training. While Youth in Motion began with windsurfing and water safety, our mission has evolved to encompass all forms of movement.
Currently, our primary focus is the Molokai Holokai Ho’olaule’a. We encourage our youth to participate in this community celebration, whether through running or paddle races. Beyond the physical benefits, the event serves as a vital fundraiser, generating support for student scholarship funds and providing donations to other local organizations that support our youth.
We believe the future is unlimited. Our goal is to empower youth to follow their dreams—because Youth in Motion is not just about the ocean; it is about keeping our keiki moving forward in life.

The Community
Currently we are using the Molokai Holokai Ho’olaule’a as our community event to kick off and or end the year with what we do. This is a celebration of our youth.
We are looking at fundraising for our Keiki and Makua Races and fund all youth in the Molokai Holokai Ho’olaule’a. If you care to donate to Molokai Holokai Youth, we would appreciate this
The Ocean
We are water babies but we have land options as well
The Youth
From starting with windsurfing to Stand Up Paddling, we now have Muay Thai Boxing and Body boarding

We are based on pure volunteerism. No one gets paid and any dollars we have go straight back to the kids programs
We do have goals for the future, including expanding what we do, creating year-long programs, and using the Molokai Holokai Ho’olaule’a as our kickoff and finale each year as we did in the early years with Na Opio Hana Pa’a ( A Celebration of Youth Opportunities)

YIM wants to work with local youth organizations in searching for additional creative fundraising avenues that not only can raise funds for the organizations, but help search for creative avenues to spread the mission of the organization.
