What has Youth In Motion been doing?
Youth In motion has been running swimming classed during 2013 along with Stand Up Paddling. YIM will continue to run these same classes for 2014. For more information you can email Clare at clare@youthinmotion.org or check out the website for calendar of events.
Youth In Motion has an area leased from R.W Meyer next to Malama Park with the vision to bring an open air Youth Center area where kids can get involved with many outside activities. It is a slow process as this is all based on volunteers from the community who can help lead the various projects that brings hands on learning.

The latest project has been the clearing of the area so that YIM can then install an irrigation system so trees can be planted and an outdoor nursery in the NW corner of the property. The discussion has been on growing native wetland plants and other native plants that relate to the area of Malama Park. As always Youth In Motion is seeking volunteers to spear head different projects that would educate and inspire youth on this piece of property at Malama Park.

Many thanks goes to Jr Alcon and the Molokai Calvary Chapel who have brought in two youth groups from One Love ministries and ..??? Also big thanks go out to David Makaiwi (Maka) and Nate Oswald and the local Molokai crew from Montsanto that came to help with the big final cleanup of hauling the piles of debris to the dump. Each person that came to help were a huge blessing and bottom line it all ends being about the kids and the vision of what can be done.
Ready to go for the next phase! Ready for irrigation and planting of trees and other vegetation!
